Tracey Martin began her accounting career at a regional CPA firm in 1984. She joined BRC in 2007, where she became an integral part of the firm, providing tax and consulting services to many of our clients. As the leader of BRC’s Outsourced Accounting and Advisory practice area, Tracey focused primarily on the healthcare industry, bringing a depth of expertise that greatly benefited the firm and its clients.
“Throughout her seventeen years with our firm, Tracey exemplified dedication, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her ability to connect with clients and team members and her deep expertise in the medical industry set her apart, making a lasting impact on the firm’s success and reputation. Her mentorship and leadership inspired colleagues, myself included, to balance being a mother as well as a professional in public accounting,” said Lory Kelley, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer and Tax Partner at BRC.
In addition to her leadership role, Tracey was instrumental in expanding BRC’s presence in the Wilmington marketplace. She shared her expertise with a diverse range of clients, including physician practices, law firms, and nonprofits. Tracey is widely recognized for her in-depth knowledge of the medical industry. Her involvement with the North Carolina Medical Group Managers Association (NCMGMA) as a participant, colleague, mentor, and speaker exemplifies her commitment to the industry.
Beyond her professional acumen, Tracey is known for her outgoing personality and her ability to connect with others. Her infectious laugh makes her a joy to work with.
Kathy Douglas-Palmer, Senior Accountant, shared, “It has been a pleasure working with Tracey for more than 25 years. Her passion for accounting, specifically in the medical industry, her leadership, the care she provided her clients, and the trust she put in me over the years has been greatly appreciated. She will be missed by me and many, but we all wish her so much joy and happiness during this transition.”
Throughout her time at BRC, Tracey has been an invaluable team member, serving as a mentor and a trusted resource for colleagues. Her guidance has helped others further their careers, and her support has instilled financial confidence in countless clients. We are deeply grateful for Tracey’s contributions to the firm and the lasting impact she has had on those fortunate enough to work alongside her. As she transitions into retirement, we wish her nothing but relaxation, happiness, and cherished moments with loved ones.
